Honda Civic hybrid, I also believe Toyota are making a hybrid out of there Highlander/Harrier/Kluger.

On the JDM, the Toyota Crown has a 3.0l Hybrid V6. Toyota Crown is a luxury car (LS430/LS400 are related to it) so you could possibly mention something about it being the worlds greenest luxury car.

As well as hybrids, mattg, you shoudl maybe include a comparison of what is being achieved with internal combustion around the world with some prototypes getting 100+mpg and miniscule emissions ! Include diesel. LPG and alcohol fuels.
Dependant on how big your project has to be you can go on to hydrogen as well.
Generally google searches on research on these will get you sites of companies at the forefront of all of these and their relative merits.
Good luck
