It looks like a bike engine, it says 1100 cc's, It seems like a pretty big bike engine though. There are legend cars that are powered by those engines and they fly.

It's a Suzuki GSX-R thou I'd guess, The term "Gixxer" refers to a GSX, it's one of those funny biker words, like "Kwak" (Kawasaki).

Edit: Did a bit of digging and I'm not so sure now. It says 1100 and the GSX-R1000 is a 998cc engine, which probably produces around 170ish bhp, but this one only makes 115... The next biggest is the Hayabusa which is a 1300 and produces nearly 200bhp I think. I don't think bike engines are usually bored out due to their already rather thin blocks, so I'm at a bit of a loss as to what it is now...

I thought I was the only one who thought of putting a sportbike engine on a kart. I'm also considering doing a project like that myself and after seeing the results in the video it just urges me even more to build one. I mean the acceleration must be INSANE even if it loses a lot of traction when you floor it

P.S. I wonder how they made the tranny work... with the hand clutch and all, because in the vid the driver seems to only pull on a stick sort of like a sequential tranny

It's a bike engine, seqeuential is the norm and clutchless gear changes too :)
