I feel like banging my head against the wall everytime I see post count celebrations. It's completely meaningless. There are people who could post 10000 times without adding new and insightful comments, while others could make themselves clear and respected with a dozen or less.

The post count shouldn't even be available, IMO.

I agree, or at least that it shouldn't appear with every post.

Yeah. As soon as we get rid of the reputation system people start using their post count for the same thing.

People are always going to use something as a reference point. Maybe now the rep points are gone theres a few people improperly refering to post counts. Take them away and theyre gunna turn to join date. Take that away and they'll refer to what type of member we all are, be it junior, normal or senior member.

we will end up as 100% anonymous, untraceable posters :D

I tend to use join date over post count becuase i reckon that in general if you ve been here a long time there is less chance of you posting crap(with come exceptions:)) For example if a name pops up that i havent heard of generally its a fairly idiotic newb, but occasionally its an old member that doenst post often, and they usually talk a lot more sense.

Or they dont have time like us young 28 year olds do;)

There is only one way to stop this and stop the moaning, Make a party thread:D
