It is kinda embarrassing, but here is my truck. it is a 1989 Dodge Ram 50. My pop's handed over the pink slip to it for christmas, and now he drives a chevy tahoe. The Dodge is the car I learned how to drive in. Don't know the exact hp, but i think it is under 100.

Here is the dent in the side. Some a-hole decided to back into the car for no good reason to test the durability of his yukon denali. So cal drivers blow

Unfortunatly, that is true. THis thing is ancient, and it only serves as transportation.

Its all good, I've ran my share of $200-$500 cars, they make great winter beaters, you never have to worry about door dings or even locking the car. Some of these cars had the paint so oxidized the paint had a rough texture to the point of feeling like 180 grit sandpaper, pointless to even wash it.

Old cars rock - easy to fix, parts are cheap and a helluva lot of fun !!!

Gotta love cheap transportation. I saw a 83 supra for $800 and I was sooooo tempted to buy it.

Well im with you NoOne my current car (whichj i drive the flacon is off the road) is a datsun sunny which i bought for $250 its a peice of shit and i treat it much the same...the other day at work i hosed it down a bitsilently saying grow (and hopeing itll grow into a datsun stanza) and it washed some of the bird shit off and revealed thet the bird crap ate through the paint! both my parents drive datsun both cars mums gets around 30mpg and dads gets 41.5 mpg and both me and my old man can fix them blindfolded.
No need to be too embarresed about your car its your first car and you cant expect it to be nothing too flash. What embarresing is im a full time deatialer and i drive the dirtyest car ive ever seen.

Dude, I used to drive a Datsun pickup. How bad is that?

An '84 Nissan Pickup was my first ride. 4-cyl and a straight shift. My dad lowered it, put wider wheels, and put a custom stereo in it. It, sadly, was my first wreck. I actually enjoyed driving the truck because of lowering it and it was light weight allowed me to corner faster than stock. The only thing that sucked was when it bottomed out, it hit the tires before it hit the bumpstops. After that, I went to an '81 Camaro, which sucked because the motor was a 285 (0r a 289, I don't remember) with an Edelbrock 4 barrel, automatic, and heavy as a tank. Then I went to a '96 Grand Prix SE Coupe. That was fun, until the 3.1 liter V-6 decided to blow an intake and leak coolant into the motor. It was also an automatic, which also too away from the fun factor. I now own a 2003 Ford Ranger with a five speed and the 3.0 liter V-6. I have a blast with it. No compliants other than the oil filter leaks if you don't tighten it down with unhuman like force. (This is typical with FL-400 filters on ALL Ford cars, not just on Rangers. It also seems that Ford is in no hurry to fix it.) I'm thinking of lowering it, but, I don't know. I'm so used to it now at stock height, I know how to take corners with it. Then again, I do remember how much fun the Nissan was when it was lowered.

I have a question: was your nissan a low-hp? I beleive that this truck has maybe 87 hp, which pisses me off, cuz i was driving a 96 chevy tahoe with the Vortec 5700.

Update: Got rearended, it sucked and i need a new tailgate.
