Whats the most expensive car you sat in ?Add proof of it !!!Mine is a nice Maserati Quattroporte.i also added a pic of me and my dad in a jaguar xjr.
Thats not a Jaguar XJR .. thats an XKR. The XJR is a saloon, the XKR is the sports car. Im yet to see a Quattroporte in person you lucky bas*ard! :p

The most expensive car ive sat in .. theres a few that you can value. One you can value is the Lambo Diablo SV .. I got a ride in that. The Cerbera Speed Twelve I sat in hasnt really got a value .. TVR have had offers in the Mclaren F1 region though. Or the 911 GT1 race car .. hasnt really got a price either but is quite expensive. BTW .. these pictures were taken in 2001 which is ages ago. I now have long hair and wear T shirts that actually fit me (I was given that T shirt from the Autoglym stand by a lady in spandex .. nice :) )

While in Singapore a couple of weeks ago, I got to drive my dad's friend's 360 Modena (only a couple of metres though :( ) I didn't take any pictures of myself in the car obviously because I can't take myself, but here's a picture of me holding the key :D . These pictures were taken in VERY bad light with my PDA (which takes shocking pictures in bad light), so I'm sorry about that. :)

I rode in a Murci at 100MPH Plus and sat in a lot of cars Lamborghinis, Ferraris, etc. I also drove a Countach, Ferrari 308 and a Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2. My favorite was the Countach it was just amazing. :)

at a motorshow they were only allowing VIPs sit in certain cars so i stood & pretended to b 1 of them & sat in a Mabach 62 & a Rolls Royce Phantom.

then at the bentley stage , i asked if i could sit in the GT & the stage manager refused so i sneaked & sat at the passenger seat.

then at the Aston martin stand i asked if i cud sit in the DB9 & the lady refused but there was guy about my age inside it. when i asked why he was allowed , she said that he just bought the car.

once a few years back i sat in an infiniti concept but the stage manager showed up so i acted like i dont know english & he let me go.

i also sat in a nice porsche 911 GT3. The owner was washing his car, while i had to deliver the newspaper there.offcourse i walked round the car a bit, and had a chat with the owner.he ran out of polish and asked me if i wanted a ride to the store and back !offcourse, i couldnt refuse the offer.it was so cool, the car really corners well, and is as fast as lightning...Unfortunately i have no photographic proof..

The quattroporte was at a concours d'elegance.This car was parked at a road at the terrain.A guy was trying to sell it to some people.They were tired of their mercedes S-class...(unaffordable for our family) I asked the guy : may i sit in it ? It was ok, and i had a go.My dad made a pic of me then...
The sit was really nice, nice leather and stuff, satnav the entire lot...

Runners up include:

The porsche Cayenne Turbo my brother-in-law used to own (I drove it a lot)

The F355 he currently owns (got to drive it once...for my birthday)

Either Mclaren F1 LM or a Ferrari Enzo. I don't know. The Enzo cost 1.4m and the Mclaren Probably more. I don't have pics but I went in the Mclaren when I was 11 and I went in the Ferrari a year ago.

My uncle owns two exotic car dealerships so I'm lucky.

Ever seen the video of the guy driving the tank in LA? It's an earth-bound vehicle capable of being driven on roads. I have also sat in the cockpit of the space shuttle at the space museum at Cape Canaveral, but "vehicle" and "car" are synonimous, so I disagree with you.

Naple Motorsports?? My Uncle owns that!!!

I have no idea what it was called - it's a small shop with about 50 vehicles stuffed inside. You can barely walk inbetween all the 911 turbos and lower end ferraris, but the murcielago was all by itself in the corner ;)

I've sat in an Enzo Ferrari at Ferrari of Atlanta, and a few other misselaneous ferrari's while I was there, such as a Challenge Straadale. I also have sat in my neighbors sl600 and 911 turbo, but none of these really compare. My dad used to own a viper so I got to ride around in that alot but never drive. When I was really little I got to ride in a Ferrari Testarossa which a friend of my dad's owned.

Way back when I was 5, I sat in an indy car on display at the Molson indy vancouver. Also back in those days, I once went with my father and uncle from vancouver to penticton to visit grandma in a brand new Porsche 911 Carrera. I've more recently sat in a shiny new Audi TT, a Mercedes Benz E-class sedan, and this perfectly restored old 63 Buick owned by my current boss. Also, the restored TR6 I briefly drove.

I do believe my boyish cuteness got me a few minutes sitting in a Dodge Viper, back when I absolutely loved the things. I was 10, and there was a small gathering of them in Harrison. When we stopped for gas real quick like, I spotted them and immediately made a fuss :)

not about the design but the car...the body is rusty and beyond repair , the engine isn't the 1300 veloce but a 1600 but the car is complete with all aloy parts.

Most expensive car ive sat in still is and is likely to stay a used 2003 7 series bmw that was worth $250,000...and despite the monetry value its worth it failed to impress....but the stero system was impressive (i was useing the cloth to apply a finish and moved that big black button and head a buzz and though oh shit and as it turns out i turned it on and all the way up.....the calssical music it was playing nearly rattled my fillings out)

I've sat in a Weismann Roadster, the 993 Turbo at this year's Gumball, MG Xpower SV-R, most of the Common Ferraris/Maseratis, F430, GT3, Continental GT, etc, things like that.

Edit: Also the Rockford Fosgate Chevy demo car.

Wow the F430 must have been cool, it has a nice sporty looking interior like most new ferrari's. ;)

I'd imagine the Bentley was all luxury :cool:

Second would be a Crawford DP03 (race car, i think this is also in that price range)

most expensive street car would be a 360 Spider. plus a caynne Turbo, Supercharged Range Rover, 997 carrera and 997 Boxster, SLK55 (which had the best seats out of all mentioned) and a VW Phaeton

- Alfa Romeo 75 3.0 L V6 Turbo !!!! one hell of a fast car
-Volkswagen LT auto transporter (http://www.classicpassion.nl/transport_klassiekers.php)with a stripped FIAT 2300S coupe (http://www.classicpassion.nl/projecten.php?id=20&show=all)on the back and some very good music blazing out of the speakers as loud as possible :D
- VW T3 Transporter (in the back going through a corner on three wheels :D,drakkie went flying:))
- Maserati Quatrroporte (http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16218) (this exact car).
all these four were (very fast) rides near spijkenisse and zuidland.

thats about it, offcurse a few rides in much more common ars.a 200 opel astra, my dads citroen xsara and :

the car itself is in perfect condition. there is not even a small worn or dirty spot on the seats and upholstery.technically it is also very good.i think the bonnet needs a respray,but for the rest, it is perfect :)

Have no photos, but I've sat in a Special Edition Rolls-Royce Phantom. I also went to the University for the first time on a Bentley Arnage. And when studying, preparing for the exams, I also had a pleasure to drive a Bentley Arnage Continental R Mulliner. All those cars are owned by my dad's friend, he always likes to show me, he knows I enjoy sitting in them or driving them. But I think somewhen I'll make him let me photo all his garage)))) They have a lot of DREAMCARS...

Several times in my uncle's Iso grifo 3.5 GL :) i think it is on of the most valuable cars around in this thread at a price of about 500.000 euro or 592.000 USD :)

i sat in a gallardo e-gear (SDG after tax multiply by .6 if you want to know the USD) that was about 800,000. a lotus 111r (same thing as above) 238,000 and twice the same car: ferrari 550 (over 1mil.) i sat in a quattroporte (dont know the price hehehe) and i drooled on a zonda roadster (over 2 mil with tax and everything) i have evedence for some but it's just too big to load (over 2 megs)

i got a ride in the only 340R in SE asia cuz i was friends with a guy at the lambo/lotus dealership. i got driven in my friend's cayanne. that thing packs some serious tourque. theres a picture of the tire tube for proof

i have more pics to post if any one wants

Ive sat in a Ferrari Enzo....360 Modena....360 Spider....F430 Spider....Corvette C6...Koenigsegg CCR...Ascari KZ1....Rolls Royce Phantom...Maybach 62....Mercedes McLaren SLR....CLS 55 AMG...Porsche Carrera GT....Touched a McLaren F1:D ....Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster....Touched the new Gallardo Spider:D ....and Ford GT....Ferrari SuperAmerica

I havent just listed all the cars I know I have sat in all the above cars...and thats been within 2 weeks...(London Motor Show: BBC Top Gear) But I dont have any photos pf me sitting in them cos I was on my own so I couldnt get people to take a photo of me in 'em.

But below Ive got 3 pics of me in the Vanquish S and an Audi A8 Long Wheel Base....most expensive cars that ive got photos of me in.

Will be sitting in a my mates dad's (chauffer) new Bentley Flying Spur early next year so will get some pics. His Dad drives the Audi LWB at the moment.

Id love to sit in a McLaren F1 though...I got so close in london at the old McLaren Showroom but just as I picked up the "Dont sit here" Sign some women cam e rushing out and grabbed me:(

Man, folks like YOU will make it impossible for anyone in the future to get anywhere near great cars.

Next time, learn some manners and ask politely if you can sit in a car.
If the owner says no then say thanks anyway and leave !!!

My cars go to shows a lot of times and many of us dont mind letting folks who care and show interest in getting in the cars. I've even taken a lot of them on laps at the end if they've been willing to wait.
Please don't be so ignorant of others vehicle in the future please OR you may not be able to get near ANY of them -- and nobody else either :(

how the hell did you ever got even near to those !!!:( the clk dtm was surrounded by a big crowd on the Autorai. i only was able to shoot one crap picture :o do you have friends or something that work on the stands there ?

edit: most expennsive in the last couple of weeks was probably a city bus...:)

I sat in the CLK DTM twice, once at a dealer and on the RAI. I was on the RAI during the pressday, that makes it much easier:)

All F1s are owned by somebody.
All of the 64 production road cars that were built quickly sold, EXCEPT FOR 1, THE SHOWROOM MODEL which had been parked in the company’s London showroom for a decade, until 2004, and on 29th January 2004 I saw the McLaren F1, just 2 days before it was removed to make way for the XP5 prototype.

That last McLaren was sold for an exact figure of £966,105.85 or $1.700,000 on the 3rd Feb 2004

For your information I asked a male McLaren representitive who was at the showroom discussing the prototype XP5 that was going to be moving in a couple of days later...I asked him if I could sit in it...seen as though he was going to be driving it out of the showroom and he said "feel free to take a seat in it, it will be your last chance" so I did, it was only the female McLaren worker who stormed over and told me to move away!

Well, right now, the London Showroom does not house McLaren anymore.

McLaren has moved into a giant facility.

They keep on show the XP F1 LM, F1 XP5, and the Davidoff F1 GTR "Longtail" which placed 2nd in the '97 24 hours of LeMans.

The building is now the home of the SLR production lines.
I have already made contacts to visit the facility in the summer.

The woman WAS STILL doing the right thing if no one had told her you DID have permission.

You getting permission is different from what you implied.

The Ferrari 250 TR that sold at Pebble this past season for 16.4 Million USD had to be taken to a few events over the last few years, prior to being sold. One show was on a rainy day. We unloaded the car down the block from the show so we could drive in and trying to stay dry, I held an umbrella over the open cockpit of the car as we drove in. A number of people shot photos and we could hear people talking as if we'd driven the car "all the way to the show in the rain" but... it was only about 600 feet in the rain. The rain bothers the humans more than the car.

Ferrari 360 Modena. Sadly, this was years before I even knew about this site, so my proof is...your trust in me that I am telling the truth.

It was my Mom's boss, a lifelong car enthusiast and Ferrari fan. The 360 was his first Ferrari, and boy was he a proud papa.

Thinking about it now, I actually think it was probably not the 360...I think it would have been a '32 Ford hot rod owned and built by the same guy who owned the 360, it was featured at the Grand National Roadster Show in 2005 or so. Every nut, bolt, and screw was custom made from billet on this car, the paint was 30(!) coats of dual-stage paint, cut-and-rubbed between each layer, and a crate 502 Chevy motor which was then disassembled, balanced and blueprinted, then put back together. Most of the legwork was done at Steve Moal's shop in Oakland, CA. It was called "Sedeuced". Think Steve might have a pic of it up at his shop's website. Several hundred thousand dollars (!) were put into building this car.

The expensive car that i sat in Volvo S60 around 2 months back which gives a complete comfort, luxurious and pleasurable travel experience. I travelled with my four friends and it was a remarkable experience and the car is fitted with excellent specifications and features.
