Ive never seen that video before. If only there were more people who could do commentry like that .. was actually quite funny. He wasnt doing bad .. 150+ while holding a camera with the roof down. Man, my head would start parting from my neck. Great vid.

I don't quite believe those numbers. 160 seems a little steep for a Mustang, especially with the top down. But it was an interesting vid -- must be nice to live in a place where you can drive fast without paranoia.

Thats why I wouldnt mind living in the Isle of Man .. are there actually any road laws there? I wouldnt say 160mph would be impossible for a Mustang like that .. but with the roof down that would be pretty painful. Id imagine the wind noise would be immense.

Nice joke... Coming from someone under 15 years old.

Anyways, I don't doubt a '99 Cobra can do 160Mph. But its easy to tell when he was doing a 160, they were up in the 180's to 190's.

Early, I bet you could have kept up with them. :D

i mean when i have a college digree, and i make a shitload mowing lawns for a 14 year old, $40 bucks each lawn, and $20 a car for washing, $40 for wash, wax and detail

my porsche

and i get $10 aN HOUR, SO I CAN EARN ABOUT $150-$200 IN A DAY, IF I MOW, WASH, AND DO LABOUR, oops sorry for caps, but im too lazy to re-type

And then you can invest that money into mowing fields .. and then you could be earning 25 maybe even 30 cents an hour :)

Yes there are.
HOWEVER, unlike the rest of the UK the "national speed limit" was not reduced to 60mph. So the mountain roads are UNLIMITED.
However, unlike the autobahns where top speed is relatively easy to reach, on the Isle of Man, they're called mountain roads for a reason !!
Prety much it's only the mountain sections which dont' ahve some limit on them. More of the roads between the villages are being marked for 60 :(
It takes a lot of skill and courage to get it over 120 on a car on the mountain. My brother's done the Manx International and was course opener in the RS200 a few years back. He said you coudln't dare keep the foot on the throttle !!

I've had the bike over 130 - a naked 600 just doesn't have it for any more.
See http://www.iomtt.com/tour/10rider.shtml for Steve Hislops comments on the bit from gooseneck to Creg-ny-ba. The big bikes will do over 180 - on a bumpy twisty road with kerbs, barriers and posts !!!

Here's one clip of the bikes going through Bungalow ... I've LOTS of footage from the TT over the years, maybe I need to setup www.ultimateTTpage.com :)
