Help! I am making a periodic table on cars for my science class, and I would like some help. My main restriction is that the car has to have a 0-60 time of 5 seconds or less. So far, I have cars from Porsche, BMW, Maserati, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Bugatti, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Saleen, McLaren, Aston Martin, McLaren, and Shelby. If I'm missing any major brands or you have some tips or questions, please reply!

Matt I wouldnt follow the ">5sec" rule so strictly, i wouldnt by any means consider the M3 a supercar, teh CSL is, but just barely. Same goes for the EVO VIII base model... and I dont know about the STI, maybe.

The definition of supercar must have changed a lot sence yesterday, because I remember a time when people were in debate over wether or not the NSX could be considered a Supercar. I guess the standerda have been lowered.

Probably any model of Caterham, Westfield, Radical, Ariel, Ultima etc.

Really if you are going just by a sub 5.0s 0-60 run then the list of cars will probably be several hundered.

yea... cut it down to 3.5 second and under you'll end up with a little fewer... but still a lot. Do the cars have to be road legal though?

um..........so how exactly are you going to do this?

are you gonna make a table? thats gonna be really tricky to organise in such a way that it makes sense.

We are talking about supercars, so i guess thay have to be a production supercar, therefore road legal.

Calling it a "periodic table" rather than just a list, I'm interested in what you're using on the second dimension. 0-60 is just one measure of "supercar" status, what else are you adding ?

To help you out w/ this, you could probably organize the table similarly to the periodic table by using gas-mileage, classification (coupe, salloon, etc.), top speed, handling, 0-60 <5, 0-60 <4, 0-60<3, and so on. Good luck, seems interesting, but quite a bit of work for sure.

Been there with European customers when we quote them prices.
On mainland Europe the ',' seperates the units from the decimals and the '.' seperates the hundreds/thousands etc.
REALLY confusing sometimes :)

its a good site and looks pretty accurate from what I can tell. I usually go there to look up any 0-60 and 1/4 mile times that i may need. you can also check out www.car-stats.com which is also pretty useful. i usually use car-stats if i cant find a time on that other site.

Enjoy :)
