KNow the rules by now .. start at A, if you can't get a letter STOP listing at that point. You can start again once you or someone else has posted a letter or I've said go on. ( likely THIS time )

So 26 RALLY drivers.

I'm going to only allow International and WRC drivers.
So no sneaking in your local club rally driver :)

Go.... ( hee-hee henk4 has all those lists of open-wheel drivers going to waste :) )

I'll do "D", because I can't think of an "E" driver at the moment. I'm kinda lucky to know this one though, because there was a small feature on him in a RallyXS issue that I was reading yesterday :) Anyway...

Hiya, still not got the rules right.

The next letter up is I, if the only one you know is Colin then I'm afraid you have to wait until someone has answered J, K and L bevore you can answer.

This time around, I've been adding first names after the surname to help confirm the driver - it was hard on the F1 to check up on some of the excellent names henk4 came up with :)

Why not try to find out some for the missing letters and try again.

Colin's up to 3rd in the Dakar - impressive, I thought he'd get stuck in his first soft sand traverse ( he did but hot out OK )

Hiemer, Manfred

Sorry, egg-nog, this one's being questioned.

A new name to me and I can only find a reference to him as Armin Schwartz CO-driver.
It's only drivers allowed.
If you can point me to a drivinh reference the "road penalty" may be removed :)

I'd expected Hirvonen, Miko for H as he's so much in the news as an up and coming scandinavian - aren't they always :)

Infantes, Albert, Spain (did the 1998 Rallye de Catalunya as a driver) does he qualify?

Have to give you that one Pieter :)

The only other one that's come up was Godfrey Imhof who won the RAC Rally of Britain in 1950s.

Jaussaud (Bernard, related??).

Don't know - anyone ?

Don't know if J-P is driving compeititvely, but he drove the R5 rally car VERY QUICKLY round Mount Stuart as well as the Le Mans winning 442.

Astonishingly the sun shone for the WHOLE day ( it's a Scottish event )

So anyone else got the courage to do K, L, M etc

Ove, AndersonSorry, good try, but as you suspected it's Andreson.

Nothing stops you giving multiple answers, if you have other candidates for O

Good one, right order, wrong spelling :)

I had to check as I usually get it wrong also, itr's ROHRL, but the second R isn't pronounced.

Also Ragnetti, Jean one of the great Alpine-Renault rally drivers

Salonen, Timo

Come on folks, join in the fun :p and then we can get onto the next 26 !!

Ihr Englisch ist gut. Mein Deutsch ist jetzt sehr arm.

I couldn't even spell one of my heroes - Ragnotti ( thanks henk4 :( )

Toivonen, Henri

I remember seeing him in the Scottish and his first win in the 1980 RAC in the Lotus Sunbeam.
One of the best drivers I've ever seen, sadly lost in the Tour de Corse.
Theres a great history and tribute site her (http://www.thruxton.f9.co.uk/toivonen.htm) with some great pictures. I like this one as it's from the Scottish - these are the roads I get to enjoy 7 days a week :)

Malcolm ?

lfb666 had the v and w I'd sitting ready to send and congrats to henk4 AGAIN for finishing it off.
I'm not even bothering to check the Z, I'll take your word for it.

Well done everyone.

Interest tailed off there, so I'm only going to put one more up.
If you like the idea, come up with other groups yourself :)
