i dont have a lot of techno collection... only have a few on my comp... i dont really know the name of songs or the DJ's.... so i dont know what to download...

I know quite a few songs but as i said i dont know their name... only hear them when i go clubbing with friends in the weekend....

lol, i dont really buy cds :D :D the only techno cd i have is the 2004 Annual Ministry of Sounds... i'm gonna try to get the 2005 MOS soon.

do, if you liked the Mark Dynamix set from the 2004 annual, the 2005 is better, by far.

wow, i just downloaded some, they were pretty awsome.

there are some that are essential to any dance/techno fan: these guys make remarkable music.
DJ Tiesto, Paul Van Dyke, Paul Oakenfold(not sure about the spelling here), mario lopez, Mauro picotto, Benny Benassi (especially, Love is gonna save us) ,CJ STONE- pretty much evrything you get from these guys is quite good!!

then there are a few cool songs:

Lauzprecher- Omnibus (ricksta, if u like sandstorm ull love this one)
Arminn Van Buuren- eternity
DJ Sammy-heaven, boys of summer, California dreaming ( really good one)
Sash- Equador (classic)
Voodoo & Serano- Overload

also you might like GTA (german trance alliance)

there is so much more but that is a nice start.

LOL euro trip, thats a hillarious movie

some scenes are just wrong though... when when there is a guy screaming " the pope is dead!!!".... that was pretty bad taste.

Sorry to bring up this old thread again... but i thought i better post my question here since we have so few techno fans..

i'm listening to Ministry of Sound: 2005 Annual at the moment... got the CD a month ago.

Just wondering... which do u like better? the 05 Annual or the 04? coz after a few comparisons i think i like the 04 annual album better... it's got better songs i reckon... the 05 annual hav some really good songs but then when u get to the end bits the songs arent that good anymore and gets pretty boring...

any thoughts?

MOS "sessions" is the best.

04 i think is good, but 05 has great highlights in it.

04 is chillout i rekon, songs blend better into eachother.
05 has bad songs, but it has great songs to make up for it.

2004 Annual was good, but it was a bit cruisy, and still, IMO, had a bit of a "Recorded Set" feel, rather than an actual album.

2005 was much more professionally done, but I have to say i seem to like fewer of the songs.

I only listen to the Mark Dynamix Discs from either set; everything else really does sound too much like a rave. I suppose you could call it "Trance Lite" :p

So is techno a big thing over in Europe/Australia? This just seems odd to me, seeing so many techno fans. It seems virtually non-existant on my side of the pond.

I love techno but it's so unpopular here and i don't know very many songs so thanks for suggesting all these. My favorite is Sandstorm for sure, but a few other ones that i think are good that haven't been mentioned yet are:
Overload- Voodoo & Serano
Blood Is Pumping- Voodoo & Serano

and i don't know if this is technically techno but the Matrix Theme Song by Propellorheads is pretty good too (if you've never seen the matrix)

In The Netherlands it is a big thing! Many like techno, hardstyle, (hard) trance, dance etc. Including me

DJ Scot Project - FM (Feelin' Me)
DJ Luna - Mindspace (Black Anthem '04)
DJ Outblast - Life Sentence For Mankind
DJ Dana - Secret Dream (Hardmix)
DJ Lee - X-Perience
Sunclub - Jump

i dont know why its so unpopular... i went to a music store yesterday and was lookin for some techno cds, i spent around 5 minutes in the little shop to look for the techno/dance section and to my surprise its hidden right in the end of the shop, in the corner by the store room where most people wont find it... :( and they didnt have a lot of options either...

Blood Is Pumping- Voodoo & Serano
dont know why but i really dont like that song...

its unpopular over here too, its like six degrees of seperation:D
