Aside from a GPS or screens for the rear passengers, what the hell is the point of LCD screens in a car? You're suppossed to keep your eyes on the road!!!

lol! i know, its not exactly a totally serious drawing...... :D

although LCD screens can be used as touch screens for controls as well as displaying various important information such as speed, RPM, fuel, temperature, etc. :)

There is a law that states a TV must not be on in the driver's view while driving.

And I'm sure WCC would just love to have you. That's all they ever f***in' do to cars. Put 20" rims on, new paintjob, a sound system with a high volume you'll never want to have that high, and the other space is just wasted with LCD screens.

a "TV". if these screens are used for other things such as sat nav, then they are totally legal.

Yeah. That car was at NAIAS 2005. It has 6 LCDs. The seat is made of, get this, glass "poles" sticking out of metal. Like poles you would see in flourescent lighting. Plus your legs would be sticking straight out in front of you. Would be a hell of a pain to drive but it looks pretty cool.

You can see detailed pictures here (http://www.alpine-usa.com/images/news/demo_cars/miniarticle.pdf).
