Nick Mason's road leagal F1 GTR prototype, which he swapped a McLaren M15 for with Ron Dennis. Taken at Goodwood in 2000.

I wish I had taken more photos of the event, but as with all these things a combination of too many people getting in the way, and me being distracted by so much top-notch racing people and machinery meant that I have far too few. :rolleyes:

The wheels were color-matched to the car at the time those photos were taken - it looked great like that I think. The car is #009 and resides in Australia. Original owner was Dean Wills, then Tony Raftis bought it, and he eventually sold it on to Barry Fitzgerald. It's the only McLaren F1 in Australia now, though there were two GTRs there in Raftis' posession for a short period of time too.

This shot could really be posted in three different threads, but the road car is most prominant so here it is. I made this image from scans of two pages from McLaren's RacingLine magazine, cleaning up a large gap in between, so it's not perfect. It's the first hires version of this shot I have ever seen and I've wanted one forever as I'm sure others have too, so hopefully there will be no complaints. :cool:

At a guess I would say they are used to open the Luggage and Engine compartments.
