What is your favourtie car in Aston Martin's current line, based on looks and performance. My vote went to the DM9. It may have a fairly heavy curbweight coming in at 3770 but it's huge V12 makes up of the weight. What is you vote going towards?

DEFINATELY THE AMV8!!

the DB9 has its auto issues, and apparently feels heavyer and bigger then it is.

which is why i wouldnt want that car, the vanquish is a beautiful peice, but i think its got too much of a fan boy base now :( time to move on. not to mention the AMV8 is SEXXXXXY

Oh, I am just going by A) standard high quality Aston Martin, and if I had an Aston, I would be rich enough to pay for repairs and things like that. And B) The sheer LOOKS of the DB9. I like how it kind of has "hips", and a nice "top" too :p
The DB9 is one sexy beast!

I'm split between the Vanquish Convertible and the DB7, both for looks.

for looks huh, which car would you take for engine power and perofrmance?

Doesn't matter. The level of performance in all of them are so high, it's above and beyond what I'd ever need (or in fact, what I really even want). Whichever one has the most midrange torque I guess?

0-60 in 5 sec isn't that great for a sports orientated car

Eh, I consider anything under 6 to be damn fast. I think my Dad's car would do it in 5.5-6 seconds, and you can't tell me that's not scary enough. I'm still scared to let it wind all the way up.

yes, but for the price...
i just thought it was supposed to be as fast/faster than porsche's etc

You're dead right, but think of it this way: Astons are more of a gentlemen's car than Porsches, so it's not 100% about the performance either. Plus, the new AMV8 looks like it'll be the "baby Aston", and so it simply wouldn't do to have it outperforming the expensive ones!

hopefully they'll bring out a supercharged version

That would be something...maybe even something like the last of the Aston Vantages, with the twin-supercharged V8. Talk about power - AND torque.

I love the AR1, don't know why, and the coupe version, they're just both really unique and pretty looking cars. You can't beat the lines of the DB7 either IMO. The AMV8 has an incredible stance to it...argh I can't choose!

The DB9 at the end of the day. I also heard that a more powerful supercharged version of the AMV8 is supposed to be coming out later.

I voted for the Vanquish, it is the most manly and it has the best curves out of the lot

Vanquish S or the AM V8.

Ethermaster
03-08-2005, 08:13 AM
The DB9 it just has to be

A: Its quicker round a track than the Aston Martin Vanquish and just as quick as the Aston Martin Vanquish S.

B: Cheaper.

C: Looks better.

D: They are making a new Aston Martin DB9 Vantage. Which should be really quick.

E: It has a real gearbox not the silly F1 flappy one that is awfull and don't let you change gear when you want it to.
