I think you are right with the D-Type thing. Look at the wheels.

maybe D-Type is the right. the interior are ugly, nothing special ando, aldo, very poor. by the motor, to me is a V12 Jag like we know, and E-Type have our heritage. but I don't know too much about motors, to me a simple change of air filter format and more peripherics organes are a big sick of mind to undestand if are a new motor or the same, whit changes.
for external are nice, like's is 'brother' made in BMW 507 plataform.

Well considering it started like a race car, it's not bad at all. The engine is the classic 3.4-litre XK straight six. I don't know much about the intricates of the mechanical bits, but I try to learn something every day... :p
I personally prefer the official road going D-type effort, the XKSS.
