Aight, I've seen everyone post pics that they have taken with their respective digicams. Now, lets see what the hardware actually looks like...

Here is my Nikon D100 with MB-D100 veritical grip. I've got the 2X teleconverter on it with the 75-300 G 4-5.6 lens on in the first pic, in the 2nd and 3rd pics I tossed the external Sigma EF-500 DG Super flash on. And finally, in the 4th pic is just the D100 body with the MB-D100.

I can't really take a pic of my camera, as I only have one, but this is the exact model I have: Fujifilm E500 4.1MP. Takes nice enough pics for me.

Damn you guys have semi-professional equipment!

I only got my shabby Olympus mju 400 Digital

The quality of the pics is really good but you have to hold your breath to get a clear shot.
It's really good for outdoor use 'cause it's an "all-weather" case. Good for snowboarding. :D

The Nikon D70 is VERY NICE piece but expensive (too rich for my blood)! Depending on the subjects you're going to shoot you may need 2-3 (or more) lens to fully utilize all it's function :)

I've tried the A85 and was very pleased with it. Only thing that bothered me was quick battery consumption (with 2 of some unknown batteries I have made just a FEW PICTURES and it was dead, with Varta it lasted a bit longer ;) ) (I was using this batteries because my 2200 MaH (or whatever) drained (they lasted for about 400 pictures).

The D70 with kit lens is a great set up, but you will most likely need/want a couple more lenses to get added "reach"

I've got the 75-300 zoom that cost $180 - it's plenty sharp and a decent lens, the main problem I have found with it is that on auto-focus is takes FOREVER to focus, but on the other hand a good lens with that type of zoom range, that focuses quicker is going to cost some serious $...

the only reason I went with the D100 over the D70 is that I really wanted the vertical grip, which holds 2 batteries, has voice memo function, and incorporates the vertical shutter release and command dials... with both batteries fully charged I have yet to run it out of power on any one shooting session, I would imagine that even using the onboard flash a lot, you could probably get over 1,000 shots out of it without having the batteries die on you... just my $0.02...

Heres my camera, showing a variety of battle scars from its 3 years of hell under my ownership. this camera has been through some tough times but the end has come for my dear P72's days of action as I am officially waiting the arrival of a Powershot Pro 1 early next week. Just in time for the autoshow.

I was tired of the plainess of the P72 so I took it upon myself to add a little bit of personalization. I origianlly had a DCshoes sticker on it but it faded out so I replaced it with a I Love NYC graffiti sticker that I foiund on a street poll and I hung a small tibetan Good Luck Charm that I got at a street fair.

Good camera for a novice. But as soon as you want to go into more detailed stuff (white balance, exposure, F-stop, etc.) it's awful. I bid 100 bucks for a D70 and a kit on Ebay but it got out bid by like 200 bucks within 2 hours.

Edit: It's on 481 dollars now!

Mine is the good old trusty Sony DSC-S85
i was nice two and a half years ago when i bought it, but i think that i reached the best i can do with it. i'd love to get my hands on a D70/100 unfortunatly cant afford it right now, im saving for a decent trip :(

Although, im not complaining
the S85 is still a very useful cam to me, i think i got to some 20K of pix by now, it just kills me with the time it takes to save pix and startup

that's one thing I love about the D100... write time is minimal ( I can take several pics a second, thanks to the large buffer) and the start up time is quick (almost instantaneous... seriously, it's a fraction of a second)

I have a Nikon Coolpix 3100, it's total crap in my opinion. Uses two AA's for about 8-20 shots, even worse with the lost lasting batteries. I have a 256mb card for it, but a new camera(canon powersot S1 IS) is in the near future seeing how my sister dropped it and the battery flap can't lock shut. :(

I leave my camera in burst mode at all times so I go through two versions of every picture taht I take and go through it, thats why I take tons of pics..

the biggest image size is about 2mbs so I take plenty of shots.

I have as a digital camera a Nikon Coolpix 995 but, I barely use it. My real camera is a Nikon F5 combined with a Minolta Dimage 5400 Elite filmscanner. I can't afford a D2X (the only digital camera that interests me a bit) so I'm still using the best film camera ever in a half-digital setup which gives me 44 megapixel images :). I'm staying with this setup until good digital cameras become affordable (and D100, 20D etc are not good enough, I tried them and I said no thankyou). I need good equipment since I tend to make money with it.
My lenses: 24mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, 105mm 2.5, 70-200 f4 and I really have to buy me a 35mm on of these days (I've been saying this for years).

save up a bit more and go for the F2.8

I used Wouter's 70-200 2.8 on my 20D and was amazed how great it was in low light. i know it's almost twice the cost, but i think the extra few stops are worth it.

examples:
