I heard that the car was being tested because the brake systems were supposed to be changed/ repaired before the delivery of the car. Supposedly the accident occured during the test of the newly installed brake system .Due to a lock up of the brake system the driver lost control and total traction sending the car spinning out of a corner, he was able to maneuvre the car enough to avoid a total loss of the LM which only suffered slight suspension damage.
All this happened before Ralph even took delivery of the car.

I'm going up there sometime soonish. My uncle is a college teacher around there, and he invited me up for a visit.
Please tell me the Mclaren F1 is still up there. The preceding posts have been very confusing about this.

the entire exhibit (incl his McF1) is in place until July 3.
karc, I suspect there wan't any problem photographing the exhibit then. most museums won't allow photography.
i'm hoping to visit it, but the 8hr drive will feel a lot longer if i can't shoot there.
Nice pics.
i Like that classic Ferrari's:)
Ring the museum up Rob, and ask. ;)
