I only watched some of the 1st race. was it kelly who put those 3 guys into the wall?

if its the incident im thinking of, rick kelly sorta caused it, but i think something like that happened in the 2nd race as well.......hard to tell with so much carnage :p

Went all four days, Ambrose was in a league of his own, he could of won won towing a caravan around :p Lowndes was genuinely quick also, caught up with all my Bathurst mates, all holden fans and gave back plenty :)

Im hoping Lowndes has enough to take the championship this year, although i think i'd still rather Ambrose get the three-peat.

That caravan wouldve seriously unbalanced the car through the chicane though :p

Lowndes isnt far off the pace, but Ambrose was gaping them straight away after the saftey car, dont care as long as its ford winning :) The safteey car broke down, not a fantastic advert for the 300C :p

i think this years podiums might be increase of last years trends, 2 or 3 fords in the top 10, then 7 holdens

One round isnt the forecast for the rest of the year. It could very much turn in Fords favour as HRT are really Holdens only team to maintain stability over the off season. TPR and HSVDT will be fast, but theyve had their issues before the season and whats to say that hasnt affected them like HRT, Kmart and Team Brock were affected in 2003 by the TWR fallout. Judging by channel 10's opinion, theres essentialy 3 Ford drivers and 2 Holden drivers chasing down Ambrose.

I think HRT should be back up there this year. Skaife is already running a new 2005 VZ spec car and it has been quick and todd kelly is going to get one in a few rounds once they've done a bit of development and ironed out the bugs in Skaife's car, but Kelly's already been going fast and so he should rip it up if HRT don't screw his car up

hes got to settle into a new car though which is always going to muck him up for a race or three.

A good team should have no problems ironing out most bugs in a test session, so HRT have the resources to get Todd into a race winning car with the new shell, but it really depends how the new car fits in with their testing schedule, they may debut it in China or Perth or some shit, so they dont have the time they need to fix things, test things, the go fix other things.

Ambrose though in 03 got straight on the pace in his car and now its 05 and the same cars even more dominant, so you'll have to wonder what it takes for him to jump into his new car. Ingalls car for this year is new as Warren Luff's got the old BA for the development series, and the new car was actually SBR's 04 spare car

wouldnt it be grand for a 1 - 2 -3 ford hat trick at bathurst this year, alas im sure it will not happen

SBR want to fight hard for the win there, but theres still HRT, PWR, HSVDT, 888, BJR and maybe even FPR that will push them all the way. The likelyhood that 3 Ford cars can get ahead of Kelly and Murphy who have dominated recently, is very unlikely.
