Techno Classica 2005/Essen/Germany

I want to ask if anyone will go to the Techno Classica in Essen next weekend?

I will be there at Saturday with my cousin.


There will be a nice show this year:

- around 100 Ferraris (some special cars as well)
- Citroen ID & DS 50th birthday (original debut stand from Paris 1955 will be there! also some special bodyworks)
- BMW 503, BMW 507 & BMW Isetta 50th birthday + BMW 3 Series 30th birthday
- VW Polo 30th birthday + VW Karmann Ghia 50th birthday
- Audi quattro 25th birthday
- Mercedes S-Class from first one to now (ALL NEW W221 will be there only slightly covered, official debut will be at IAA in September)
- Best of Show award with some unique Bentley and Rolls-Royce cars

and some more :)

As I said I will be there and will make some nice pictures :)

We have been to Retromobile and Interclassics this year, and the reason why we will skip the Technoclassica is in the quote above. It is too big. There is just too much and it is too crowded. Bet there will not be one 300SL but at least 10, squattered all over the place. I am sure we are going to miss one or two, or even more interesting cars, so we do look forward too seeing your pictures though :)

It was one of the best car shows I ever walked over :)

The only thing what wasn't as good as I hoped: the DS/ID stand which should look like the debut stand from Paris 1955. It was build by a DS/ID fanclub and I have to say: the official Citroen at the show stand was way better.

I'm sorting my pics now (my photo program resorted them when I load them from my cam... first time it did something like that...), so I will show you them in the next days.

Yeah, I know, but I have to look through them first, because the are in completely wring following... But I have written notices for me with the names of the cars I didn't know before (there were some, specially cars around 1900 to 1929).
