New RS4 to replace RS6?

I've heard somewhere that the new Audi RS4 is going to be the only member of the RS family and there won't be any new RS6. What you think?

yes there was the rs6, and the rs6 plus, the rs6 came in sedan and the "plus" was only wagon

my dad wants one and will probably not get one because he has been hearing from alot of people that the tiptronic transmitions have been breaking pretty regualarly, so i guess ill have to settle for a 550 :(

The new RS6 will be coming in 2006 it's gonna have a V10 with 580 hp :P It has the same engine as the Lamborghini Gallardo. But just a little bit faster :) You'll probably now that Audi own's Lamborghini. And Audi put a lot of money in the development of the Gallardo engine. Everybody found that weird, but Audi just wanted it in their new RS6 :)

S6 testing at the Ring as we speak. Rumored specs S6 will have a 5.5L V10 ~440hp, RS6 5.5L V10 ~550hp

Yeah yeah I know that, I didn't believe it myself because they are different classification cars... I've seen that bullshit in a famous russian magazine , there was written that the RS family will have only the 4-th model's top modification from the current Audis...

That really sounded false and I created this top. But the guys too think RS6 WILL BE.

M Z4 is going to be packing the M3 six, the 1-series is also supposed to be getting this engine as well

its a tossover for me between the e55 amg and rs6, the rs6 has 4wd which will work well in our canadian winters but in normal good dry conditions an e55 will out corner out power and out perform the rs6 in every concievable way performance or luxury (except for maybe reliability)

Audi will make an RS6, they need a competitor (Or a beater) of the M5.

The RS4 will have a struggle on it's hands when the new M3 finally lobs.

how? i don't disagree on luxury, but quattro audis corner perfectly, no oversteer, better gearbox, the e55 would only have it in a straight line

audi has been really good at pulling a so called "porsche". where they leak certain rumors and then controdicting rumors so that it throws people off the trail! i guess we'll wait and see. :cool:
