Welcome to the forums :)

Maybe you should change your username to accomodate the correct spelling of your car's name. Alfa. Did you not notice that when you bought it, or do you just not own one. Moreover, there is no Golf GTI Turbo. Can you explain?

YES I SPELT IT WRONG , HOWEVER THERE IS A VW GOLF GTI turbo , it,s the 1.8 20v turbo that delivers 150 bhp

Am I right in saying that's the DIESEL GTi ?
It's a bit of badge 'deletion' to suggest it's a Turbo, every decent Diesel is turbo, it's how they get good power.
No Turbo petrol engine. Mum buys the GTi Diesel and dad tries to pass it off as a "Turbo" in the pub :)
That's probably where the confusion is.
btw, not sure if you got my earlier message, but a note to any of the moderators and they'll fix the spelling in your nic.
Cheers

Ahhh, okay. In North America, it's sold as the Golf 1.8T, rather than the GTI Turbo...
