Ok i just watched it, and for the record:

If that mitsu (and that blue stang) were running straight petrol, no nitrous, the stangs would have kicked its japanese ars. :)

It may help that he is running 33psi of boost :p And as quiggs said, the mustangs sound so much better, I'd rather have them than the evo/

why all the hate? so what if its modified it still won, i dont wanna hear any more of this 'oh but its still japrice' BS.

and the evo was running on more that just 600hp. It stated that its 600hp at 30psi but during the race that car was set on 33psi so im guessing 615-625hp

When I saw the title of this thread I thought 'No way...an original Cobra beaten by an Evo?!'

How would an original (AC) Cobra fare at a drag race? Another question, would it matter which model of evo you started with if you were going to tune for ridiculous power? For example, would an FQ300 be much harder to extract power from than the 405bhp version? I'm wondering seeing as they all use the same basic engine, just with different modifications

Excuses.... Who cares about the outcome given different circumstances?

Here's another video of the same EVO racing a 12 sec SRT-4 and a cammed W/ 100 Shot LS1

because the heads/block/pistons/injectors/turbos are changed or modified youd get the same amount of power given any type of model of evo, only difference is if the owner wants to use some of the stock parts, then the power output would change
