Gerry Marshal was a great salloon and gt driver in the 70s and continued to race classics and willsurely always be remembered for chucking "Baby Bertha" around the circuits of Britain and Europe.

Another great driver leaves us.

Over 600 race wins in his career.

he died of a heart attack durign testing at Silverstone.
he pulled the car safly into the side complaining of not feeling well.

Denny Hulme died the same way in the middle of a a Bathurst 1000 race I believe.

Sounds like what happened to Denny Hulme back in 1992 - he also died of a heart attack while racing a BMW at Bathurst. He had the presence of mind to think of the safety of the other drivers and was able to pull the car off the circuit, slightly nudging a wall, but it was unfortunately too late.
Gerry Marshall was one of the great British saloon car drivers. RIP.

Gerry Marshall was one of the great British saloon car drivers. RIP.

Thats one of the races i have on video, he was driving a B&H BMWand crashed about half way through the race when it was pouring down with rain :o his car just aquaplaned and hit the barriers on both sides :(
