is that a nick name for heroin? ive herd it in a number of songs (311's HOMEBREW "to lucy in sky") (Black crowe's "Lucy in the sky with diamonds")

whats it mean

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was a reference to LSD (aka Acid) on the Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album. It isn't heroin at all, its acid. Its now used to refer to it in many other songs as you have pointed out.

Heroin, is called many things (Brown sugar, smack, etc) and I am sure there are songs about it, I know Under the Bridge by Red hot Chili Peppers is about it and so it The Needle and the Damge Done by Neil Young.

haha, speaking of LSD, check out the avatar ! Yeah, all those old bands were always tripping on LSD.

I know that Korn- "Helment in the Bush" is about them on speed.

i just think its crazy he mentioned 311 and the black crowes, but not the Beatles, who were the first to use it
