I think that's the aluminum body polished, not actually chromed.

aluminum scratches too easily and also the bumpers are plastic which is now possible to chrome. there have been some new techniques developed which allow one to chrome flexible plastics.

Wouldn't it blind other drivers on sunny days?

I remember seeing some chrome (or polished aluminium) 3-series BMW pictures somewhere in the net, that car was nice too.

the top upgrade on the mtm website is 500ps for the 4.2 v8. should make it shift!
but the picture of this car has only the basic power output below it.

Wouldn't it blind other drivers on sunny days?

especially with the kind of sun they get wherever those pics were taken !!

but in the extremely hot weather of the middle east, would such a system be good in keeping the passenger cabin a bit cooler by reflecting away heat/sun ?

They didn't have a problem doing it with the new XJ. Why would the A8 be harder to accomplish?

Seen it before. Seen it in real, at the Dubai Motor show, and once in Lebanon in the wild, with a Dubai plate. Awesome sound!

Yeah, but they don't like people touching that because:

a) Finger marks show up

b) It scratches easily

exactly.
since it is a show car it doesnt get the same abuse as a real car.
also, there is the same issue with the bumpers+door handles, they are plastic so they have also been chromed.
i have seen the jag in person (at that same show actually) and it doesnt have a perfect mirror finish. its close but not as good as chrome. note the difference in the details in the refelections on the two cars. the finish on the jag looks unpolished.
