It was a sarcastic answer (hence the smilie), I knew the answer but you beat me. But Anyway I'll try to answer yours... Wasn't Dr.Furhmann (or something similar), and I don't know about the other part of the question.

That's partially true, but I would prefer the full answer (hint there was something before seats).

Year for the Boxster concept car was 1995 I think.

Ferrer, you only partly answered my question so putting up the next one is premature. When I saud next, I really meant the next part of my question, i.e. the specifics of the Fuhrmann OHC drive :)

I think it has all got a bit messy... So things to answer are:

What are the particularities of the Fuhrmann OHC?
What is the relation between Porsche and Recaro?
What was the year the Boxster Concept car was introduced?

About the first question I really can't remember the specific of the Fuhrmann flat four engine (I should look it up, and for fair play I won't do it) all I can't remember is that Ferry Porsche asked Dr. Fuhrmann to build a 1.5-litre engine to see how much power they could get from it and it developed 112bhp if I'm not mistaken.

PS. Henk, As you said in your reponse "Fuhrmann is correct, next..." I assumed you didn't need/want the other part of the answer, so it was completely my fault sorry."

Recaro is the result of merging two words.

If nobody knows the answer I will post it this night (Euopean time), Henk it would be nice if you posted yours too, it's always good to learn something.

Ferrer

Well nobody seems to know so I'll tell you. Recaro was formerly Reuter Carosserien, which built 356 bodies Porsche. But went Porsche switched to the 911, the investment for Reuter to keep up to the demand was simply too big. So they combined their names (hence REuter CAROsserien) and started manufacturing seats.

PS. Henk, it would be nice to hear yours.

Does he own the first official 911 or the very first 901 prototype?

The Fuhrmann engine had two overhead camshafts driven by a vertical axle (no chain, no belt, no sprockets). It had been done before but this became very famous. In german the thing is called "Koenigswelle" ("King's rod). As the Porsche had two cylinderheads, two rods were needed.

READ the question before answering, it doesn't ask anything about what the first ever Porsche was, rather WHO IS RESPONSIBLE for creating the first ever Porsche.
