werty for sure!

i think the photo comps should be based more on the technique of the photo than the car in it, the last few times ive been observing the most expensive or rare car seems to win no matter the skill involved in the photo

I felt FastAutos' pic was of better quality. Regardless of the car.

and there also seems to be a huge bias towards ferraris, most of the pics on this and part 2 are of ferraris, whats so great about them?! :p

i know i dont deserve to win, but honestly my picture aside from cutting off a tiny part of the side of the car is better than some ive seen in previous comps that have won or at least gotten a vote :)

Oh boy, don't be like Blitz in the Chop comps now. But, since you need to know.. your picture is overexposed (imo), off-angle, too much glare, weird red-stripe (most likely from a passing taillight), ugly background. BTW, resizing it to 800x600 to an inline image helps for voting. Some people miss your picture because the link is too hard to notice.

lol maybe if you had posted the right resolution more people would have seen it, therefore more chance of voting for it? ;)

The sky in Werty's is blown out, and the Civic is very distracting. FastAutos' is probably technically the best. Good subject, good lighting, good composition. The only thing I'd change is I would have cropped the small bit of sky out of the top. My opinion, of course. :)

I just want to make sure everyone reads this. It takes a good half an hour to do these 2 threads, I made it this time as a favor to Xar but I won't be making them any longer.

whats overexposed mean?

Quiggs

This picture is overexposed. Notice how the right side of it is washed out by the sunlight. It means that the camera let too much light in while the shutter was open.

if you adjust the shutter time to longer it will let more light in, therefor you can make better pictures in darker places.if you adjust the shuttertime to shorter, it means less light will come in, and the picture will not be so light.therefor you can make a photo against the sun, with a very small shutter time.i still suggest not trying it though ;)

i added two examples of way underexposed stuff.as you can see in the first picture, i did not follow the rule never to photograph against the light ;)

this picture (thx google) is a good example of overexposure:

another lesson: Always prevent as a photographer to be reflected by your object :)

yet another good lesson:
if you dont have a tipod, go sit on your knees to make a good steady picture and prevent stuff like the attached picture.Take your time !!!!

and don't take pictures in churches. Most of the time they are selling much better ones at the exit. :D
