Do they sell these in U.S. or do we have to import it? My bro always wanted one of these if he can ever purchase one in a dealer with good customer service. :)

As far as I know it was only selled in Europe (plus some cars for UAE as far as I know).

Is Renault selling cars in USA? Didn't know that.

Yup you are right, pic nº12 doesn't belong to the group. Maybe it was one of those games: Spot the one that doesn't belong to the group. :p

As long as they keep it faithful to the original and as soluful as them, I can't too wait for the new one.

that's really cool car, i think the idea of placing the engine on the rear and make a sportscar from it was great. can't wait to see third generation :)

The gear lever realy gives it away. It isn't the same as on the V6, and it only has 5 speeds. But it has a Renault Sport steering wheel, so I assume that it is either the Clio 172 or 182. ;)

Renault isn't selling cars in the US right now, but they are in Mexico. I wonder if one could special order this beauty?? I'll call the local dealer and ask. :)

I'm pretty sure that amongst the Lambo's and Ferrari's in Miami the little Clio would be a big hit. ;)

With money you can have everything taz :)

My dad is a Renault freak, he asked for the evo 1 Clio v6 at the time it was launched. In Norway they had consescion (is that an english word? and does it mean what I think it means??) for selling one Clio V6.. But here in Norway it`s snowing half the year.. and the other half it`s raining.. Not a good thing with this tail-happy Clio :D
so neither the one Evo 1 or the one Evo 2 has been orderd over the years it has been for sale...
It`s a shame.. Probably not anyone enthusiastik enough to buy one..
If I had the money I may have thought about it... Despite all the snow :D
It`s one of my favourite cars by many.. :)

BTW that yellowish color is awsome!!!!

did you drive it? how was it? was it insanely fast, or just quick enough? seems like one of the trickiest driving setups.

Yes, I drove it and also sat in it as a passenger when the store owner (an amateur racer) was really pushing it. It was quick enough.

With 230hp it's more powerful as most hot hatches I've driven, but also heavier. The weight affects the handling and also keeps the acceleration in "quick" instead of "scary".

Even though it's 0-100kph (6.2s) is the same as the MkV R32, this feels faster, but the Golf feels like in a different league when it comes to quality. When you've finally stretched over the huge body kit and are actually sitting in the car it feels like a normal Clio in pretty much every way. That is, until you turn the key.

What really sets it apart is obviously its engine layout which is its greatest strength but also its weakness.

There's nothing like an incredibly nice sounding V6 right behind you - but that's also all you'll be hearing, no matter the revs. Although I loved the sound of the engine, it could get a bit embarrassing when it starts to affect the possibility to have a conversation while driving. There's no nice, calm and civilized with this car - it's always a screaming sports car, also in the sense of practicality: in the boot - under the bonnet, that is - there is barely room to store a six-pack of beer.

So although it is "fast enough" for my taste when it comes to being a daily driver, it isn't as insanely fast as you would perhaps want to justify the lack of practicality. The excess weigh is really a shame, but it's still very lovable and always a bit crazy.

I´ve seen two in Mexico City. One of each. Both silver.

The V6 Clio is a nightmare when pushing at 100%. It has all the vices of rear engine not quite managing to get enough weight in the centre of the car. It's very VERY twitchy with the short wheelbase and could really do with more rubber !!
However, at 95% it's a fantastic ride. With a race exhaust the engine noise isn't noticable :)
However, it definately isn't practical as a daily driver with friends/family/shopping/golf clubs to cope with :) HOWEVER, the Renault mid/rear engine cars never were :D
