In regard to the Weekly Automotive Photo Contests.

After stepping up to the plate and accepting the responsibilities of the Weekly Automotive Photo Comp, I figured that I would propose some slight changes in the deadlines and or rules. If you agree with the propositions, just choose 'Yes' in the poll above, or on the other hand, if you prefer the old-style, just choose 'No'. But, if you feel my plan would be better with some changes, just click 'Changes Necessary'.




• Instead of on Monday, Competition will start on Sunday, and all pictures must be submitted by Friday.

• Voting will take place on Friday, right after all pictures have been submitted. Voting will be one entire day.

• Run-off will take place on Saturday, after closing of the original voting thread(s). Voting will be one entire day.

• Comp will restart as normal on Sunday with an announced winner.

From my understanding, the comp ran a bit too long and by the time the run-off winner was announced, it had been in the middle of the picture submission week. From these guidelines, I just feel things would be tidied up and moving along more quickly.

the automotive comp will be on the same days as the general photo comp.this might be confusing for some members.second: the voting runs for only one day.this will be too short since not every member comes on here each day.you will only get minimal votes.

One day starts in Australia and ends up in Hawaii 24 hours + 20 hours or so later so we have to talk hours here. I think 24 hours is too short anyway. People should get a decent chance to see the pics.
