Rules:
The proposed picture must be your own and not found on the net.
Only the photographs taken the last six months are accepted.
Only one photograph per person and weekly contest allowed; you may not change your photograph once it has been entered.
There are several days to submit your photograph, a poll will be created after several days for people to vote on.
Your image must be a resolution of 800*600 or lower. If it is not, your picture will not be in the voting thread.
Each photographer cannot vote for him, they must vote for the others
The picture should get submitted with: the location or at what event, and the date and the type of camera.
Your picture must be attached to your message, using the normal ucp attachment system.pictures that are uploaded using other websites wont be included in the comp.

!!!! From now on, only resizing and cropping is allowed.When any other modification is spotted, you will be excluded from the comp !!!!

Firstly, I don't think that is allowed.

Secondly, it has to be 800X600 or vice versa.

why not? she has her own profile but not the time to enter the photo, so she gave it to me to enter. i don't know how to resize it 800X600 :o i thought it was only if you had the image in your posts, not in the attachments

yes, but for the voting thread, all images are posted inline.so they have to be 800x600 ;) for this one time i will resize it for you.Next time, use a programme like irfanview,photoshop, name it.plenty of programs can do resizing.
if you go on your sisters profile and then post it, it will be ok. now, its not.as stated in the rule , the picture must be yours !

the point was that she didn't want to log on - thats been rectified. the original post was to simplify voting. if i wanted to submit her photos as mine, i wouldn't have said they were from her.

for what its worth...heres the original that i cropped

and in case youre wondering why my younger bro was in the hospital for his birthday...he was brought into the ER about a month ago with a severe cough, they found his lungs were full with fluid and later scans showed that he has a huge tumor in his chest...however the chemo has been working quite well and he should be home soon :)

not to further stray off-topic...but i think its important to share that he has been able to keep his cool through all of this; willing to accept whatever may happen, because of his faith in God.

anyways, not trying to get sympathy votes or whatnot, I just think its a cool story

I hope your brother gets well soon. Send him my best wishes even though he has no idea of who I am. He might like. Is that tumor a malign one?

Anyway, about the photo: I would never ever give you a vote of simpathy. But the meaning of that pic is just fantastic. It says more than words can express. You probably have my vote this week. Congrats and best luck.

well, i'm sure we could argue about the ski vs snowboard issue, but i'll only say this; these skiers could rip serious, so i'll share a hill with them any day, but the usual skier is commonly a nuisance (to me).

to tell you the truth i don't like skiers with classic type of skis too. my favourite type (and the one i'm practising) is skicross, and as far as i know there's really similar comptetition in snowboarding as well

its blurred from the water on the window and since my camera is autofocus and the only features that Ican change are the flash, size, and quality I have no control over the exposure.
Anyways I thought the picture was cool
