Any idea if it is possible to play PS2 games on the PC? I've heard that it is possible to download a programme that can read PS2 discs and play them as a normal PC game. Sorry if this is a repost (searched the forums but found nothing)

No, you can only play PC games on a PC and PS2 games on a PS2. :)
Or The system (PS2 or PC) will not recogniese the CD

Bleem! was around in 1999 but IIRC they went bust because of cost of defending the numerous lawsuits SONY threw at them :( You can still find copies to d/l BUT there were problems with compatability and it's likely not to run any modern stuff :(
Not sure of any of the more modern ones but a simple google found http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/ps2/
You wern't limiting searches to this forum were you ? It's about cars not emulators or playstations :)

Run a PS2 emulator. I've never tried it though.

there are ps2 emulators, but you can only play the demos on those as they still tryin to make 1 that will run full games.(there is ps1 emulators though, but those only play ps1 games:P)
