Any of you guys know any good product to remove the adhesive residue left after getting rid of stickers on a car? Something that won't damage the paint.

Thanks :)

I would Blow dry it as well (With a Hair Dryer set to hot, to leave the glue of the sticker a little tacky and easy to remove)

then try to (while, if theirs any residul glue on the paint) wipe or rub it off.

Damn Shr0olvl beat me to it.

I just saw the solution for this in a magazine. Says use 3M wood grain and stripe remover and just follow the directions on the can. That stuff is a little harsh though. Another way is to first clean the whole area and park the car in the shade. Then cut a piece of thin plastic from something like a trash bag thats larger than the sticker your removing. Spray liberally with ammonia and leave that on the sticker for ten minutes, and replace it with fresh ammonia. This will soften the adhesive up alot and you should be able to rub it off with a soft cloth and motor oil, penetrating oil, or citrus solvent.

Yeah. Like an Alcohol Based Antiseptic would be perfect.

i read somewhere that to remove stuff like that you could use WD40, but not sure if it'll mess the paint:).

WD40 won't hurt your paint, but it won't really take the sticker off very well. You'd have to use a razor to take it off, and that would damage your clearcoat.

I've used goo gone, and thats worked out quite well. 3M also has products made for removing adhesive residue.

Before putting into action any of the methods you guys gave me I asked my dad if he, by any chance, had any product I could use. Lucky me he did have something called "Goo Off". Petty strong product (you can tell only by smelling it) and it perfectly removed the adhesive residual :)
