It's been working here all morning (time's 12:20 here), I haven't had problems with it for some time now. A couple months ago it used to have constant problems though.

When I use msn it kicks me out everyonce in a while, and it's really annoying, is this a common problem and what causes this? My personal firewall settings or something?

It used to do that on me too, though it hasn't done it for a while now as said before. But the annoying part for me used to be when I had put it in "away" and then left the computer. Then, me being away, it had kicked me out and then reconnected, making my status "online" again. Then I came back and there were conversations open with people trying to contact me thinking I really was online. And for some reason I never remembered to change the settings to avoid that.

A friend told me you can only use messenger version 4.0 on a Mac, is this true?

Can't you get 7.0?

Err no. MSN 7.0 does not exist for Mac. The newest is 4.0 and 5.0 is coming out soon. Also keep in mind that the version numbers aren't the same for the mac and windoze versions. Mac Messenger 4.0 = NOT Win Messenger 4.0.

Merrill use aMSN. It's sooo much better. The official Microsoft client is a POS. Well... MSN is crap, but that's a whole other issue.
