When Michelin came back into F1 one of the things they offered was to supply tyres in team colours. So Ferrari wouls have been Ferrari red, Renault French blue, jaguar Green, Mclaren silver etc etc.
it fell through though :( Shame it could have looked "cool".

This however, just is silly :)

Tires are black from the additives put in the mix :)

Modern chemicals can now introduce any colour they want and NOT adversely affect the tyre performance.

I coat my tires with NOS because they're faster that way.

"paint" yes. For good or bad depends !!!

"Softener" for sure and used regularly on the sprint/hillclimb circuit (

actually it's (need for speed most wanted) my freind is obsesed with it. still looks like a streetracing ricer game to me though
