VERY nice pic!
im not a big lancer fan but the FQ 400 in that dark grey is very nice looking (oh and 400hp doesnt hurt either).

But i dont think thats a FQ400, the 400 has six-piston front brakes and black wheels.

he said he changed the rims, he used to have an fq-300 that he customised to MR spec, therefore bought MR-style rims too. Im pretty sure that when he bought the 400 he got it factory-customised at mitsubishi, and exchanged the same rims from his old evo. He sure has alot of spare money so the car is very highly messed with. I gather he changed the brake disks too, and he said something about the turbo, that it pumps out 480 instead of 400hp. Something like that anyway. Its nothing like the base Fq-400 anymore, but even so. Its a realy nice car.

So he upgraded the engine and downgraded the brakes? Can't get it.

I have no idea what he did to the brakes but they obviously arent standard fq-400 brakes, he mustve chose otherwise when he ordered it.

Wouter and I were just discussing this photo. We're not sure if it's truely a Duesenberg. The original Mormon Meteor: http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/show.php?num=1273 is definitely a Duesy, but that racer looks like the Meteor III.

just some info . . . . .

Yea, it is the Meteor III. I'm not sure how much you do know about the car, but I was under the impression it was the last car Duesenberg ever built (and then was left to rot in a Salt Lake City parking lot in the early 1990's), any info would be appriciated.

he captured the momentum of the picture without making everything behind the subject a dizzying blur, there is also nothing that really stands out in the picture aside from the car so your eye is attreacted to it naturally. i also belive he used a polarizing filter in that shot which can sometimes be hard with a moving subjuect because the angle of light changes. :)

stairs kinda kill it, nice even red tones and good wheel spin tho.

It helps when the car isn't moving that fast :D He's coming down pit lane. Awesome shot tho Jason.

It creates a far greater sense of movement and speed, whereas a frozen background makes it look stationary.

i realize that, its just that it does create a different effect than shown, this one i just happen to like more because that makes the setting seem more "real" if you understand me :)

Besides the Sony 828 I have a Panasonic FZ20 too. And I never made a shot with such a light contrast. Have you used a polarizing filter or not?

I always use my polarizing filter since i cant get the damn thing off!! i put it on way to tight no it literally impossible to take it off. Send me an IM sometime.

jasons picture is not a technically great picture, but it is nevertheless stunning. it captures the moment beautifully, i would say mostly due to the slant the car is at due to the acceleration and accentuated by the slight wheel blur and a slightly blurry background. it also has great contrast and good colors. the car really jumps out at you and there are few distractions, aside from that pinkish strip on the ground, and the stairs which are not too bad. you can have a great picture without all perfect techinical aspects.

just my 2 cents
