That GTR looks so cool...haha, that's the skyline in 2F2F !! and that EVO 7 also looks nice to me. But, I don't know what that muscle car is...what is this?? But I can feel that's such a monster...

The Lancer tested slower than stock in everything. The Yenko has at least 400 horses. Never seen numbers on the R34. But it's probably just as ricey as the Lancer. So add a few tenths to stock.

I'd take the Yenko regardless of the test speeds though. No sound like a classic American with glasspacks. Yum.

The muscle car is a Chevy Camaro modified by the Yenko SportsCar Club. It looks like '67 or '68, but I'm not sure.

I'll take the YSC Camaro anyday. Looks the most badass by a longshot, and isn't at all overdone. And god damn, those other two sure are overdone!

It's a '69 Yenko S/C (super camaro) with an aluminum block 427, pushing around 450-500 horse. the factory numbers were 425 horse, but many tested them on dyno and found out they were more than that. I'm not sure if it just an aluminum block or all aluminum, any one know? NoOne?

2 Fast 2 Furious: 1969 Yenko Camaro.
This Camaro is powered by a 427-cubic inch (7.0 liters), iron-block, cam-in-block, overhead valve V8 making 425 hp.
In 1969, Don Yenko ordered several Camaro's from Chevrolet through COPO (Central Office Production Order). These COPO Camaros were fitted with Chevrolet's 427-cid L72 engine. In the hands of Yenko, these special Camaros were also fitted with front disk brakes, a special ducted hood, a heavy duty radiator, a special suspension, and a 4.10:1 rear axle. A small spoiler was also added in the rear.

Performance
0-60 mph: 3.8 sec
0-100 mph: 8.9 sec
Quarter Mile: 11.94 sec @ 115 mph

Which one looks the fastest?

The Yenko definitely is the best of those... however... I don't think it looks as aggressive as the Skyline does.

This is the correct answer it is a cast iron block.

However, I thought I read something a long time ago about all aluminum engines in COPO Camaros, so I did a bit of research and this is what I found.

There were actually two COPO #'s the 9561 which featured the L-72 425hp cast iron 427 as identified by ifb666.

Here's the catch, there were 69 camaros built under COPO # 9560, these cars featured the all aluminum, very expensive ZL1 427 which was rated at 430hp (actual output closer to 565hp). This was dropped in favor of the L-72 as it was more attainable.

This is where I found this info http://popularmechanics.com/automotive/sub_coll_vintage/1997/1/68_chevy_camaro/index.phtml, it is an article on an ultra-rare, one off '68 COPO Camaro.

Here's a few pix of a couple of ZL1 COPO Camaros http://www.icehouse.net/camaros/mycopo3.htm, if any members out there would care to buy or take up a collection to buy me one, I would be forever grateful :D

in my opinion. It really did suck ass though, I read somewhere that the one they used for the movie wasn't even all wheel drive, they converted it to rwd.

that is true, they took the front drive differential out and everything to make it able to do more "show driving" rather than handling. Stupid arses, they cud've just gotten the GTR-25 from japan, its BUILT RWD!!!

Yeah that was in C&D or Motortrend or something. They converted the skyline to RWD for stunt purposes. And that exact camaro in the picture is a Yenko replica according to the same article. They tested all cars in the strait line, slalom, and braking. The Camaro ran a low 13 1/4mile, the skyline ran a 14sec, and the EVO ran a mid 14sec. Also the Skyline didnt do so well in the slalom without its AWD.

Motor Trend says the Skyline is teh fastest. On the 1/4 mile anyways. ;)
