ok well i just felt like sharing this, because i personally am excited off my ass, im running in circles and jumping around

my dad gave me the contacts to track down his old 911 (1969 911 S) and he said in 9 months we could probably buy it back, and start restoration/customization

his friend builds muscle cars so i emailed him about getting some parts and possibly a respray

i dont know what it looks like now, all i know is that the guy my dad sold it to sold it a year ago.

the way it would go is that we would work a few hours a day that summer (9 months from now) on rebuilding the engine and cleaning everything well so it would be ready for my to drive when im 16, he would teach me to drive in his expedition while this is going on and then send me to high performance driving school before he lets me drive my 911 :D

add anything you want, i dont really care if you dont like the idea, im just too excited to care really :)

oh happy dayayays when jesus walked oh happy daaays :D :D :D

Good luck m_p, and congratulations! However, for the first 3-6 months drive it as you would a normal car, and only test it's limits at a race-track. Showing one or two of your friends how many g's it pulls through a corner will either result in you or your car being injured, bad.

dont worry dude, my dad is a very safe person and im sure if i ever crash i will be more scared of him that what could have happened in the car

meaning, he will kick my ass and take away my car if i get a ticket or in a wreck, so i doubt ill be doing much of either :D

although i WILL be joining PCA the day i get it, and taking it to a track day after its done being made and ive driven it for a while

My father had a 944 Turbo, then a Turbo S, the Turbo S of which was the 1st car I ever drove.

I haven't felt so much in touch with a car since that car or the Turbo model. I really hope to find one and rebuy it.

Have fun with it as a daily driver, you might have to wait to do track events untill you are 18 though. I would definetly recommend doing autocross before taking it on track, it gives you a chance to learn how to control the car, learn its limits, and your limits.

yes, my dad trusts me very much so, i mean as much as i joke around here and stuff, when i get in a car im all busniess

944 turbo s or 911 ts?

I'm 18.

It was a 944 Turbo S. Wonderful car.
He went from Corvette C4 to 944 Turbo to 944 Turbo S. Afterwards, my mom got a 850 to go with it.

I currently haven't seen to many Turbo S that interest me, but I'm still looking.

sucky that you have to learn to drive in an expedition....and the 911 will undoubtedly be a stick.....so youll have a bit of getting used to...but it will be worth it.....

congrats

and incase it hasnt been hit yet.....Monaco is an independant Principality on the Mediteranean coast of France....just over 1.5 square miles i believe....REALLY SMALL....and the Grand Prix of Monaco is run through the entire city.....its my fav race of the season

enjoy the 911

That's great news Colin :) Don't worry if it's not for sale when you track it down, if it isn't, find a 911 of the same year and there you go :)

Autocrossing is a really good idea, the SCCA has all sorts of local, regional and national autocross, rally and track events you can take part in :)

like this may sound like im a spoiled kid, but id like to remind you he sold the car for i think 27 a decade ago and the guy he sold it to sold it last year fo $9k, so its not like im getting a hugely expenisve car, just thought id get that out of the way

im emotionally attached to this car, so if i dont get it first go round ill save up my money and make him an offer he cant refuse

Its not a matter of finding one, its just a matter of finding one for sale in this country. Most of the dealers here are interested in Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and high-dollar Porsches, BMWs, and Mercedes.

So, in about 2 hours, I'll be out walking around trying to find some dealers in some cabs.

EDIT: So far, this is the only dealer, I'll be contacting.

I'm 7 hours ahead of Texas (not counting El Paso).
Its 6:04 AM.

I have my eye on 4, the 1st 3 though are more of my concern, but the 944 is top of the list.

You can search if you want for me. I would appreciate it greatly, although you really don't have to.
