I took these a couple of days ago when a friend (training to be a commercial pilot) took me and a couple others flying. It was pretty cool.

1. The Beast, our Cessna.
2. A portion of downtown Vancouver
3. Overlooking the Harbour Centre
4. My neck of the woods :)

Please don't post in the General Photo Comp or you'll leave us all with no chances of winning :o

AWESOME photos Shawn, got any more?? :)

My college has aviation as a major and students have to complete a certain number of flight hours before graduating. They're often offering other students plane trips for a price so that they can pay for the plane rental... I should go on one of those one day :)

I wonder how many of these surveys there are? All catering to various city's ego no doubt. Melbourne is a dump as far as I'm concerned. Personally, I'd rather live in the tropics

But Vancouver does look good, nice pics :)

I'm not sure what that article says because I'm not registered to view that site, but I found another Aussie article that said in 2004 Vancouver was tied for 1st with Melbourne, just like in 2002. :)

ive spent alot of time in both places (more in Zuri tho, see my location :D ). IMO id rather live in Vancouver but Zurich is much "nicer". but i like the cold+wet outdoors in the NW so im biased.
theyre both ridiculously expensive. my grandmother in Zurich lives in an apartment that cost 8-digits USD.
and nobody in vancouver can make a pizza, for some reason they all use fake cheese?

anyway...nice pics! i once flew from vancouver to portland in a small plane, very nice area.
