Ok I'm looking for cars with aeroplane engines + pics, So far I've heard about this man who made a custom Rolls Royce with a Merlin V12 nick named "The Beast" a 1955 Chevy Bel air with A merlin, a Rover Sd1 and a Capri.
also on this site www.bobpetersenengineering.co.uk They say they'll put a Merlin 27 litre in the bentley racer http://www.bobpetersenengineering.co.uk/cars4.htm (http://) very nice
Jay Leno's Got a Phantom II with a Merlin (these engines seem very popular for the job)
So people if you have any interesting photo's or websites please post them
thanks in advance

Do a search for Chitty Bang Bang, there was three of them, and they all had plane engines I believe.

there is a stock car from japan that uses plane engines,
its called the subaru WRX. :D:D
the local light planes (20 seaters) use STI engines for their compact size (and power).

The Lotus 56 used a Pratt & Whitney turbine engien...
Not built spesific for aeroplanes.. but you can probably use it in an aeroplane :D and turbine engiens are often used in them too:)

I'll take that tartan Dakdak of yours and raise you .. a Leyland P-76 powered ME 109! :D
(there's a P-76 mini-Spitfire flying around here as well)
This beautiful beast was recently built in Melbourne, Australia. Its Hispano Suiza H-3 engine is from WW-1, an incredible 18.5 litre SOHC V8 that makes 390hp @ 2,000rpm - and 1,000 ft/lbs - yet which weighs only 617lbs! She is fully road-registered & also used for competition events. I can post the informative story text if interested
