It's real. It's people acting backwards so when the video is played backwards it looks like they're moving forward but doing god like things. Old trick, but this video does it very well.

Here's some pics I took of a guy creating rock sculptures in San Francisco. He must go down to the bay and do this just about every day because he was there on two separate trips about 3 years apart.

There's a couple crazy guys in Vancouver who do that along the waterfront every summer. (Granville Island in case anyone knows the area)
