heres a bit of trivia for everyone: the acronym found on race day has some truth to it, as henry ford to get the comapny started had a brief racing carrer in 1901 to get the funds to start

it really isnt a nickname, but street machine came up with this design and stuff for a magna ute called an "El CaMagna". they were describing how to go about it, like starting from a wagon and all, putting a V8 and RWD in there. it was an interesting read nevertheless

I noticed you mention "porker" to describe porsche, I was recently reading an issue of Total 911, and they had an ad for porsche, and it mentioned that term. Where does that term come from, and how does it apply to porsche.

Not sure, but seems to me the term came into use after the 917/20 which was a result of French aero testing; the car was somewhat bulbous. The engineers had a sense of humor, painted it pink and marked it up like a butcher's diagram of a pig, calling it The Truffelhunter of Zuffenhausen. Most called it the Pink Pig.
