ya but u have to admit that the only about ten percent of ppl that buy and SUV only drive it in the city and personlly i think this Generation BMW X5 is really hot and if u look at the specs of the Q7 its almost Simmilar to a Tourege or what ever they call that thing but then the only suv that really sick the is the 2004-2005 range Rover HSE i personally have one so...ya

Considering the market is SUV crazy, I'm sure it'll do just fine. :)

Considering it doesnt have to have any real off road ability and only has to be extemely powerful, handle nearly as good as a modern sedan , look pimpin in black with mirror tinted windows, 24" spinners and dumped suspension, Im sure it will be a further needless addition to a pointless area of the market.

for me the X5 4.8l is the most beautiful SUV ever made.... The Q7 sure will sell first cause everybody will want a new looking SUV so the first year will be tought on all other SUV(Porcshe, ML,X5, Range Rover) but then later it will come back as it is right now... i think the X5 is the best selling one these past 2 years

Anyways X5 4.8l for me

The Q7 sure can kill the X5 but probably not the Cayenne Turbo, Porsche is pushing the Cayenne tp 500 hp.

well i think the X5 looks better but their are many audi lovers in this world just like u :D waiting 4 their SUV and i think it will be better this year cause its new on the market.... anyways the BMW should start making a new X5 soon (in like 1 or 2 years to keep on compeeting

I was wondering when gas prices would have an effect on SUV sales. Maybe Audi picked the wrong moment to bring their own SUV into the market. As far as I can tell, gas prices won't be droping for a while. :(

I know it is a bad time Taz, but we have one advantage,"I think", Audi has this new engine called "FSI",you can actually use regular gas, that should give us the upper-hand,

It will do great but I don't think it will topple the X5. The X5 looks more muscular IMO.

The X5 has so many years market presence now, the Q7 will have to be notably better than the X5 to maintain an advantage.

Being able to use regular gas might help out sales Tom, but if gas prices keep going up...who knows? But since you sell Audis, I hope it does well. :)

I just took a closer look at the pick you posted, that looks like one long SUV!!! Is it the same length as the Chevy Suburban?? Looks like it might be.

I am in favour of everything that kills the X-5. This audi however would however come next on my list of "cars to be killed" (on those list are also: Cayenne, Hummer, M-Class, etc)

Don't trust this man with any weapon :D

Personally i'd like to see the Q7, the X5, The Cayenne, etc to curl up and die.

*sighs* at least the 500 hp Porsche is in production, now that kills X5. Even if the X5 LM is in production it would cost way much more than the Porsche. And ppl don't judge which car is better simply by looking comparing the speed, who would wanna drive a SUV with bucket seats anyway? That X5 LM is just a plain show car.

A lot of people who drive SUV's sure ain't caring about the gasprices, they care about how fly their cars look rolling down Sunset. :)

Thats why it did not go in production.. if u read what it says under the pics u will see that it was made to test bmw's X5 and its ability and went pretty well since it was faster than the Z8 by 25 sec... and i just wouldnt buy it i just wanted to mantion it and say that porch cayen turbo is not stronger than all X5s
