I choose what looks best. I don't take into account how hard it is for someone to take a picture, simply because that effort doesn't transfer into the photo. It may also be that all of your pictures are of Milwaukee, so we see the same thing every week. That's why flower pictures, water droplets, etc. don't win anymore.

I understand that completely. But when something the level of difficulty is simply shooting randomly, I think it's no longer photography. If you actually take the time to zone out a shot using a prolonged exposure, take time-don't just aim anywhere and press the buttons down.

I didn't enter it because of the difficulty. I entered it because I thought it looked good, and I thought that it would appeal to different people. This doesn't make me entering the picture wrong, and it doesn't make it wrong that people who enjoy my picture more vote for mine as opposed to yours. I have nothing against your pictures, but just because something has a low technical difficulty doesn't mean it can't get votes. The one I just entered was taken from up in a tree, just point and shoot. Nothing difficult about that, but that doesn't mean that it shouldn't be voted for. Cotterik's isn't the most technically different either, it's also involving shutter speeds and a simple tripod. Does that mean he doesn't deserver to win?

FYI, I wasn't out to take the photo of last week, I was simply in a car on a long trip, bored, and I had a camera. I played around, and I found a picture I liked which I just happened to enter.

I understand what your saying completely and most of the time I actually take my time when taking pictures. However I find it fun to play around with the camera some times and I thought the pic looked cool so I decided to enter it even thought I just pointed the camera somewhere and pressed the button. Just as sauc3 i was in a car and bored so i figured what the hell. I suggest you try it, its good fun and the results are usually pretty cool.

And I understand you all once again. :p (How many times can the preceding sentence be said?). But I think that, for your own benefits and my own sanity, you figure out how to use the shutter speed corrcetly so they don't turn out grainy, undercoloured, poorly exposed, etc. I know expirementation shots are fun, but you should really get a hold for the features. ;)

i found this one a few weeks ago on my other memory card.i dont ver use it, cos it is so small.this picture was pretty much forgotten. i have had this printed immediately on 50x 40 centimeters.it is now framed and hanging over my bed and one in the living room. :eek:
