here are some of the great soccer teams of the past, outside of U.K.
so the great liverpool, manchester, and nottingham teams aren't included.please, select different 5 teams that you think were the best in history.not more and not less than 5 teams.
I pick:Ajax 95',Juventus 96',Milan 89'-90',Real madrid 56'-60',Ajax 71'-73'.
so,what 5 club sides would you vote for?what were the greatest ever 5 soccer teams that aren't from U.K?

Real M. 2002-Some of the best games i have ever seen! The "galaticos" proved that Nowadays money does buy good football.

Real M. 1956-60- 5 straight EUROPEAN titles make it the most dominaant team over a given period of time in my opinion.

MILAN 89-90 - one name: MARCO VAN BASTEN!!!!

Munich 74-76 - German football's Haydays, Great great games and beckenbauer was simply stunning.

SL Benfica 61-62 - Most of you will NOT vote for them since Eusebio evolved during thge time PELE was blowing everyone's mind away, but this team was the strongest team IN THE WORLD for in the early 60's ( even Beating PELE's Santos FC on many ocasions). Eusebio Was the PERFET forward: speed, inteligence, allways knew were he wasand a thundering shot!. Benfica's glorious days shall return!

EDIT: This thread should be the 5 best european teams of all time, since you are missing some CLEAR contenders... Santos FC (with pele), Penarol, biocajuniors...

I think it's just because if you ask a non-soccer fan to name a soccer team, they're more likely to name a British team, which always seems to be Man U

maybe to seperate the fakers from the believers? who knows

I'd say the Germans are. Us winning the World Cup in 1966 and beating the Germans 5-1 were freak occurences. Normally their players make ours look disabled (even though Wayne Rooney can do that by himself...)

^^ well then don't post here (or do you find it boring considering Italy has been doing so crap in the last 2 tournaments WC 2002 and EC 2004 :D)

Ajax of van Gaal this team had all the players who are great now Bergkamp Davids Seedorf Overmars (he retired) Reiziger Bogarde Litmanen Ronald en Frank de Boer Kanu Rijkaard (ok so Bogarde didn't become great and Rijkaard was Retiring)

Ajax Of Rinus Michels and Johan Cruyff!! Johan lifted the Europa cup on his own with 2 great goals against Inter in the final

AC milan Of Marco van Basten, Ruud Gullit, Baresi and Frank Rijkard

Real Madrid with Puskas and Di Stefano these guys thrashed teams 7-0 with ease and won 5 straight European cups

Benfica of Eusebio won loads of titles thanks to the man they call "The Black Pearl"

Ajax 1971-1973 (Cruff, Keizer, Neeskens, Haan, Krol etc) which really provided the basis for the national team that became second in the world cup in 1974. Before that Holland almost never managed to even qualify for the World Cup.
