I liked my Extreme Z so much that I decided to build the car that inspired it, the Z Tune Z33 from the GT4 game. Starting with the Tamiya 350Z kit I had to cut off the nose and side skirts so they could be replaced with the Scale Auto Style resin NISMO Z kit. The hood vents were cut from one of SAS's resin Skyline hoods.

You can see my progress so far...still have to clean up those resin parts then glue them on and fix all the panel lines.

Got the Nismo package glued on....have a lot of work to do around the vents and panel lines now.

There is a correct rear spoiler too which isn't pictured.

Very nice so far, but there's something weird about those front bonnet vents.

i agree the front seems to rise too much out of the hood and the back sinks...i assume its because the skylinge hood's curve is much more gradual? the rest is fantastic though :)

It may also be that it's not puttied/sanded/painted yet.

You're both right, the curvature is a bit off but once I have them molded in and all that section is black or carbon fiber it won't be that noticable.

Cool. Just a couple of questions. Are u putting the Fairlady Z logo? Isn't the Front grille a little too small?

Heres a link to the Z33 Z-Tune:

Very nice work indeed. I'm usually not a fan of tuner cars but this example looks tasteful and clean.

Your knife wielding skills and patience astound me - very impressive :D

Are you going to have the decals on their? And what are you planning to do about the wheels?

its been a while, are you going with orange/black interior?

Why would I?

never mind, i just asked cause thats what the AUTOart nismo 350Z uses for the interior. so u prefer monotone, eh?

I bet your AutoArt model isn't a Z33 ZTune...besides orange and black interior would look pretty crappy with the red, silver and black NISMO stripe.

actually i don't own the autoart nismo 350Z. that one is an S-Tune, but i get your point on why u dont want a two-tone. is it going to be LH or RH drive(seeing its a Z33, RH seems to be a more natural choice)

I don't ever pay any attention to RH or LH drive dashes, I use whatever I grab first.

Actually, I'll be using the interior from the Maisto diecast for this build because I stole the Tamiya interior from this kit for the Extreme Z.

nice, never knew that maisto made a 1/24 scale 350Z or something. so ur doing something similar to ur 550 Maranello build, eh?
