Hello all UCPers. As I said in a nother post, I am being deployed on the USS SHREVEPORT to help with disaster relief in the Gulf Coast region. I do not know where we will be going, but I do know that this will be a major undertaking. I will ikely be off UCP again for a long time, like the last time I went on a deployment.

I am my ship's Public Affairs officer, and we will be trying to update the site as much as possible over the next few weeks. that website is www.shreveport.navy.mil. You can also email me, and I will add you on to my own daily email list which I send to my family and friends. If you woudl like to get on that email me at [email protected].

We all thank you for support, and I hope this will neither be as long, nor as challenging as I think it actually will be.

I wish you all the best there, and may your efforts be of real support to the thousands of victims for which help has still not arrived.
