what is the story behind Emily Rose?

I was at the site for the movie once and i think it gives at least some thing about it,not much though, I think she went crazy at 19 or something like that, but I'm curious of her story too,if its real...
The exorcism of Emily Rose chronicles the haunting trial of the priest accused of negligence resulting in the death of the young girl believed to be possessed. Inspired by true events, the film stars Laura Linney as the lawyer who takes on the task of defending the priest (Tom Wilkinson) who performed the controversial exorcism.
In an extremely rare decision, the Catholic Church officially recognised the demonic possession of a 19-year-old university student. Based on a trial that took place in Bavaria in the late 1970s. Got that from a site about this,gives you some idea.

We're sending the priests round in the morning.
He wont expect them, they'll leap in dressed in red cloaks and carrying a comfy chair .....
