Essentially I'm going into advertising, fashion photography, big/huge campaigns etc.

But I'll probably take over my dad's company in medical equipment and services first and the advertising business will be a side business, and if the medical company grows a bit I can put someone else in charge and become a full time Art Director, while cashing in on the other company ;)

my porsche
09-24-2005, 04:03 PM
well i know there is a 70% failure rate in restaurants, and most restaurants are run by chefs, therefore we can infer that that is the reason they fail, you can be the best chef ever on earth but if you refuse to have ouside financial help (as most of us chefs do, we;re stubborn)then you WILL fail. thats why im majoring in business management, and possibly going to business school, on top of my culinary university, that way i will have both sides covered, and significantly reduce my chances of failure in the restaraunt business. so while there still is ALWAYS a chance for failure, it becomes much lower than 70% when you take the right steps instead of doing what so many great, great chefs do, which just ends in tragedy.

sorry if i mispelled anything, im on my moms laptop

Matra et Alpine

m_p, you wan tto watch the Gordon Ramsay tv series.
Lots of insights into why restaurants fail and the EGO in some of the owners AND the chefs is the problem -- jsut as in ANY business.

it's easier to think you have the answer than it is to ask the right question and be brave enough to listen to the answer.

I feel these sketches will come just as quickly as the pics of your car...

Anyway,
I've always been obsessed with the idea of design. Just the shear thought of being able to create an enviroment or a structure or something that 'interacts' with space is just plain out awesome to me. I've drawn up quite a few architectural sketches, though never really shown them here, due to their impertinence to the typical subject, but anything in the architectural/industrial design field for me. :)
