I'm looking for websites selling old American cars, especially late 60's to 80's cars, the big old ones. In the uk it is hard to get a feel for the market, I have a real passion for them and am interested to see what they go for, I saw a film with Denzil Washington recently called "Training Day" he drove an awesome 80's Montecarlo, it reminded me of a car my father hired when we visited the States called a Pontiac Grand Prix, would have been an '81 model. (i'm old).

There must be some dodgy garages selling these old cars who advertise on the net. Any info most appreciated.

Why the internet ?

Get down to Francis Street on the South side and Alexander Autos .... ask for Billy

I've seen a few cars at shows from http://www.musclecarimports.co.uk/start.htm and they ranged from mint to clunkers - one of which the guy was restoring to an Eleneor look :) Got some pics of it midway through restoration :)

If you search for uk muscle import you'll find loads there are a few other "well known" ones whose cars always turn up at classic car shows. Just dont' remember most of them :( sorry -- BUT google is your friend :D

PS: if you're in the market for cheap then keep your eye on the free papers. There are hundreds of big 60s/70s V8-mobiles around the west coast from when the US nuclear subs were based here. 10s of thousands of navy guys away from home got their favourite cars shipped over. If you drive out Dunoon and beyond you can usually see a few still kicking around - SERIOUSLY !!!!

Well, I better not. I really shouldn't buy anymore cars (3 is plenty for me).
But, just in case... :D
