More a fan of the ORIGIONAL Eleanor, a 73 Mach 1 Mustang, But this one just has classic lines... not to sure on the closed hood scoop though.

*drool* I LOVE this car. I may just name my first daughter Eleanor...

Did anybody else catch the episode of "Rides" on TLC where they showed the garage where they produce these? They base them on genuine '67 Mustangs. Not pristine ones, mind you. The one they showed on the show started with a rat's nest in the glove box and an ant colony under the rear seat. Great stuff.

The 73 is just ugly, it has no good lines and the color looked like a used toilet.

I'd say the original Eleanor is a 1967 Shelby GT500.
The 1973 Mach 1 is just the base for the 2003 tuned Shelby GT500E.

.....Have you ever seen the original Gone in 60 Seconds made in 1974? They use a 1973 Mach 1 as the Eleanor.

... but the so called "Eleanor" seen in the new "Gone in 60 seconds" is called 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 in the movie.

Yes it is. They use a 1967 GT500 for the new gone in 60 seconds, they used a 1973 Mach 1 as the eleanor in the old one. Eleanor is the code name for the car.

So according to the old "gone in 60 seconds" Eleanor is a 1973 Mach 1 and
according to the new movie Eleanor is a 1967 GT500... Means we're both right. :)

Technically, it's a 2003+ GT500E.

The GT500E is built upon '67 Fastbacks.

Here's some shots of one at the rally I did lat Saturday. Something tells me it may not be original, could be the chopped top, LOL. Nice looking anyway. I recommend the original Gone in 60. Some really good driving. Same with the original Italian Job, great openner with a Miura.

Woops, those two pics are not the same car, hard to tell from small thumbnails. I'm talking about the pic on the right, sorry.

not too sure on the closed hood scoop though.
It's a power bulge, for when your engine is such a titanic beast that you need a nice fat bubble in your bonnet to accomodate your awesomeness.

Such a gorgeous car. I want one!

Exactly :D

Except mine is much bigger than any power bulge.

My Peugeot can't even match the sheer awesomeness of what goes on in my underwear.
