Oh yeah, i do that when i take all my motion pics but my digital has that lag and the cars are going soo ****ing fast that i get the ass of the car...

Cotterik
09-25-2005, 03:21 PM
well then your just too late then :p either that or you arent parallel with the track, as was johnny. Just pretend your camera is magnetic to the car, and follow it, take the photo when its in the position you require. Flawless by theory.

It's number 477 (so I personally know number 400 and number 477 now). It is owned by Manthey Racing near the Nürburgring. Are you also collecting the numbers? :D

Here it is in HiRes :)

nice pic, data though are incorrect, the highest mountain pass in Europe is the Col de la Bonette in the Alpes Maritimes, which is just over 2800 metres high. It is possible to reach higher places by car, but never as a pass. The Sierra Nevada in Spain has a road that goes up to 3,300 metres, but that has been closed off for normal traffic not so long ago.

The GrossGlockner Strasze is just over 2500 metres.

There's nothing to be worried about, it's a bad photo of a dirty, but beautiful car. If the voters know anything about the Civic rule, then I'm confident this photo won't get much appreciation.

so you win one competition and suddenly you're andy warhol eh?
His point is that prolonged exposure shots have become overused. There should also be a 'Civic rule' for these shots too, try to apply some value to it. I regret ever posting my time lapse from nearly a year ago in an automotive comp (which itself caused great controversy)...

Thanks, I appreciate it Rik. I kept forgetting the deadlines of the comps I run, and with college apps in full-swing, along with normal school work, moderation/posting on other boards, it just became a little too much.
