since pontiac (and by extension GM) demonstrated an alarming ability to molest perfectly good cars and then ruin them with name whoring, no.

A bit late for any potential 442, what with Oldsmobile being dead and all.

Another GM **** UP. In 98 onwards Oldsmobile Was to use the Holden VT Commodore as it's new 4 door RWD Family car Engines Available would have been A V6 147kw - V6 Supercharge 171kw 5.7Lt Gen3 225kw. What happened??? GM did. The VT below.

ENGINE: all of the cars would have the Corvette engine

Pictures: none (just picture the GTO in other badges)

I don't see the point of this thread. I don't really care what the badge on my car is, if it's a Holden Monaro it's a Holden Monaro. And no I would not buy it on my own free will.

So waht if somethings based on the Monaro? The Ford Fusion is based on a Mazda, but the Fusion is something completely different. The Panoz GTR-1 uses a Ford V8 and a Mustang/Esperante chassis, but does that mean it's a Mustang?

Did you see what he said?

I know lots of cars are based on other cars, and yes in alot of cases they are completely different cars. But this thread is more like a "which badge would you rather have on your GTO?" thread.

And i think the Monaro/GTO is a great car but If i had the money for it I would spend it on a different car, that's why I wouldn't buy it.

Then Classic Anycar is slow. You can't rebadge a Monaro and call it an El Camino. It needs a bed.
